COMMUNITY PARK OF THE TRIBES 2021-2022

The Indigenous Fashion Training Course was held within the Park of the Tribes Community from November 2021 to March 2022, with the results presented at the “1st Intercultural Indigenous Fashion Showcase,” which received financial support through the Amazonas Cultura em Rede grant and the C&A Institute. Following the pilot initiative of teaching fashion production within the indigenous communities of Manaus, the company Seanny Artes Produções launched the TRAINEE PROGRAMS (FASHION DESIGNERS), with its organizational structure including qualification processes for indigenous students in the categories of Fashion Designer and Model. Thirty-two indigenous students from 15 ethnic groups participated: Munduruku, Apurinã, Kulina, Tikuna, Sateré-Mawé, Baré, Tariano, Mura, Miranha, Dessana, Kaparãna, Witoto, Kokama, Marubo, and Guarani. Indigenous people from the following communities participated: 1. Parque das Tribos, 2. Aldeia Inhãa-Bé, 3. Watyamã da Redenção, and 4. Comunidade Estrela de Davi Kokama.
